About
Tallis Salamatian is a serial entrepreneur and project manager with over a decade of experience building and scaling technology ventures. His journey spans aerospace technology, IoT devices, government operations, and now digital publishing.
Before founding StoryBytes, Tallis served as CEO of NuPromethean Technologies, where his graphene nanostructure research was selected as one of just 10 global NASA iTech companies, presenting at the 2019 Space Symposium. He also founded BaziFIT Inc., developing patented IoT fitness technology (U.S. Patent No. 10,575,759).
His experience includes managing $2B+ in state and federal funds as Budget Manager for the Colorado Division of Housing, consulting for startups across AR/VR, FinTech, and SaaS, and teaching entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Tallis holds an MBA from Clark University in Marketing & International Business and a BA from UC Santa Cruz in Business Management & Economics. He's the author of "The Savvy Entrepreneur's Business Handbook" and hosted 30+ episodes of "The Savvy Entrepreneur" on Longmont Public Media.
StoryBytes was born from Tallis's own experience with dyslexia and his desire to find a more engaging alternative to doomscrolling. He remembered how choose-your-own-adventure books from his childhood made reading feel active and exciting, and set out to bring that experience to modern readers through technology.
Based in Longmont, Colorado, Tallis is passionate about community leadership, serving on the City of Longmont Airport Advisory Board and as an aerospace grant judge for OEDIT.
